welcome to Leslie Halberg's webspace

This is a synopsis of a career in graphic design. Please browse and ask questions. All this work is my own. In production a graphic designer depends upon the services of printers, IT, and many other providers, but the outcome is the responsibility of the designer. I can be reached at Lhalberg@sbcglobal.net

Descriptions of production and function of the piece in the marketing framework will be provided with the images on the gallery page.

Most recently I seem to have specialized in catalogs, but design and production involve layout, type design, print production, photography, managing those images in huge files, and especially manipulating text. I work with Photoshop quite a lot. Illustrator comes in handy in many pages. The layout program of choice has been Quark and I like the capabilities still. InDesign has many features of Illustrator now so it is not necessary to switch back, but planning the pages still involves assembling all the files in the right format. Sometimes it is easier to work out all the logo elements in Illustrator and assemble them in InDesign.

Large banners to postcards, I have done it all. More illustration work would be fun, stay posted.
